Accra, June 19, GNA – Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has engaged members of the Ghanaian community in Canada.
A statement issued by the Office of the Vice President said she conveyed President John Dramani Mahama’s warm greetings and highlighted progress across infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and other government initiatives that were delivering tangible benefits.
Vice President Professor Opoku-Agyemang highlighted Government’s commitment to policies that benefit all Ghanaians, such as efforts to strengthen the economy through improved inflation control, interest rates, and overall stability, as well as key initiatives under the Reset Agenda, including the 24-Hour Economy programme to drive jobs, enterprise, and productivity.


She mentioned the Big Push, a major investment in road infrastructure to improve connectivity, support economic activity, and enhance access to essential services and markets nationwide.
In addition, she emphasized the importance of value addition, manufacturing, and agriculture through programmes such as Feed Ghana and Farmer Service Centres.
The discussions also covered investments in education, healthcare, and social inclusion, including the No-Fees Stress Policy, MahamaCares, Free Primary Healthcare, and the Women’s Development Bank.


The Vice President explained that the Bank was being established to provide accessible financial support to women entrepreneurs who are often underserved by traditional financial institutions.
She said the Government remains committed to initiatives that improve the lives of Ghanaians at home and abroad, while continuing to build a stronger, more inclusive, and more prosperous Ghana for all.
