Keta (V/R), Aug. 24, GNA – The 1986 Year Group of Dzolali, an alumni association of the Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO), has congratulated one of its members, Dzn Timothy Koku Gobah, on his appointment as Ambassador and Consul General to the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville).
The appointment made by Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, was part of a reshuffle and expansion of Ghana’s diplomatic missions abroad.
Mr Etsey Dotse, the General Secretary of the group, in a statement issued on behalf of the Association’s National Executive Council (NEC), described the appointment as a great honour and an occasion of pride for the entire Dzolali family.
“We salute and congratulate one of our won Dzn Gobah on attaining the high diplomatic office, this is a well-deserved recognition of his capabilities,” he said.
The Association said, the appointment reflected positively not only on Dzn Gobah but also on KETASCO and the wider Dzolali fraternity, whose members continue to distinguish themselves in various fields of national life.
The 1986 Year Group prayed for God’s wisdom, strength and grace to guide the newly appointed Ambassador as he settled into his new role representing Ghana in the Republic of Congo.
The Association expressed confidence that Dzn Gobah would excel in his new assignment and continue to bring honour to both KETASCO family and entire Ghana on the international stage.
“Your appointment is a great honour and an occasion of pride for the Dzolali family, we extend our warm congratulations to the new Ambassador on behalf of all members of the 1986 Year Group.”
“The Dzolali, Now or Never! spirits will continue to shine, a slogan that has come to symbolise the resilience and solidarity of the Great KETASCO over the years,” it said.
Several other members of the Dzolali family have since joined the NEC in extending their congratulations to Dzn Gobah, with others wishing him a successful tenure as he takes up his new diplomatic assignment in Brazzaville.
