Tamale, Aug. 24, GNA – GlobeServe Ministries International, a Christian organisation committed to advancing the Great Commission and community development, is set to commemorate its 30th anniversary.
The four-day anniversary celebration is scheduled for Tamale between August 27 to 30 this year.
The anniversary is under the theme: “Celebrating God’s Faithfulness and Advancing the Mission.”
This was contained in a statement issued by GlobeServe Ministries International, signed by Miss Mavis Ofori, its Communications Lead, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Tamale on Monday.
The statement said the event would bring together church leaders, missionaries, partners, members of the GlobeServe family and members of the public to commemorate three decades of the ministry’s activities in Ghana, West Africa, and across the globe.
It said the celebration would provide an opportunity to reflect on the ministry’s journey, celebrate lives and communities impacted by its work, and renew its commitment to its mission of serving humanity.
It said Reverend Samuel Anthony Kofi Dunya, the Senior Founder and President of GlobeServe Ministries International would lead the anniversary celebrations with Reverend Philip Tutu and Special Guest Speaker, Pastor Wayne James, also expected to minister during the four-day event.
It said “The anniversary would be a moment to honour the past, celebrate the present, and believe for the future.”
The statement said beyond evangelism over the past three decades, GlobeServe Ministries International activities in Northern Ghana had extended beyond evangelism to include interventions in education, skills development, access to potable water and malaria prevention.
It said, “A major component of the ministry’s work has been the provision of skills training to young people through the GlobeServe Technical and Vocational School, a technical institution for boys as well as a separate vocational school at Bunbong.”
It said, “The ministry has also made access to clean and safe drinking water a major component of its community development interventions.”
