Bechem (Ahafo), Sept. 8, GNA – Mr Charles Asiedu, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tano South Constituency in the Ahafo Region, has presented educational support items to 300 students who have gained admission to various Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the area.
The items included mattresses, chop boxes, exercise books, and other learning materials.
Speaking at a ceremony in Bechem, Mr Asiedu said the gesture was aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and guardians whose children and wards had secured admission to SHSs.
He said education remained a priority for him and pledged his continued commitment to improving the quality of education in the constituency.
Mr Asiedu stated that he was also implementing a teachers’ award scheme to recognise and motivate hardworking teachers to enhance their efforts towards improving the academic performance of students.
He advised the beneficiaries to remain disciplined, stay focused on their studies and strive for academic excellence as they began the next phase of their education.
