Bechem (Ahafo), Sept. 8, GNA – Madam Charity Gardiner, the Ahafo Regional Minister, has cautioned Junior High School graduates against associating with bad peers as they transition to Senior High Schools (SHSs).
She urged them to remain disciplined, focus on their studies, and avoid acts of indiscipline and lawlessness that could derail their education and jeopardise their future.
Madam Gardiner gave the advice at a ceremony in Bechem in the Tano South Municipality, where educational materials were presented to fresh SHS students.
The items were procured by Mr Charles Asiedu, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tano South Constituency, for 300 students admitted to various SHSs.
The items included mattresses, chop boxes, exercise books, and other learning materials.
Madam Gardiner commended Mr Asiedu for his commitment to improving education in the constituency and encouraged the students to take their studies seriously.
“You must take the opportunity to develop and realize your full potential as you entered into SHSs,” she advised the freshers.
Mr Asiedu said the gesture was intended to lessen the financial burden on families whose children and wards had gained admission to SHSs.
He advised the beneficiaries to be law-abiding, remain focused, and devote more time to their studies.
Some of the beneficiary students expressed appreciation to the MP for the support and pledged to remain disciplined, law-abiding, and committed to their academic work.
