Mr Gunu, during the ceremony said that the Seva CHPS Compound, officially commissioned and handed over to the community, was fully furnished and comes with nurses’ accommodation to provide a conducive working and residential environment for health personnel.
“The facility is expected to improve access to basic healthcare services for residents of Seva and surrounding communities, particularly pregnant women, children, the elderly and other vulnerable groups who may face challenges travelling long distances to access medical attention,” he said.
He explained that the second CHPS Compound at Nyravase-Tengekope was also expected to strengthen community-level healthcare delivery through improved access to preventive and basic curative services, maternal and child healthcare, health education and early detection of illnesses.
Mr Gakpey, during the commissioning, expressed excitement over the project and commended communities of the various projects and the constructor for the collaborative and excellent work that would bring better development and improvement in the areas.
