She said the theme for the celebration: “Shared vision for a better world,” highlighted efforts towards attainment of Goal 7 of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ms Tawiah said the UN global goal seven ensured a safe, sustainable and pollution free environment for all by 2030.
She explained that every sector of the economy ought to comply with standards and specifications to push progressive economic growth and development.
“Our mandate is to ensure that whatever we produce meet standards,” Ms Tawiah stated, saying that complying with the standards advanced trade and commerce.
She noted that the Bono Region had abundant natural resources, hence the need for manufacturers and producers to churn out quality products.
