Takoradi, July 15, GNA- Students of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU), have been urged to create their future hinged on integrity, values and respect for humanity.

They were advised that investment in self, was intentional to create a desirable version of themselves and the future they so desired.

Professor Eric Bruce-Amartey, Dean of Students Affairs of the University said at an investment summit as part of the weeklong SRC week celebration.

He, therefore, charged them to attend lectures, read widely, learn digital skills, acquire certificate and practical skills which were central to personal development.

The Dean of Students urged the students to stop spending too much time on clubbing, snooker, amorous relationships, but rather eat well, exercise and get adequate rest and also protect their mental health.

On investment, he urged them to budget wisely, save consistently, avoid unnecessary debt adding, “begin saving early to secure your future”.

Another social capital was a meaningful relationship with lecturers, mentors and professional bodies …you must not wait to fall into trouble before looking for your Dean or SRC president.

Mr. Joshua Kwabena Anim, Soft Skills Expert and Station Manager for Radio Premier called on the students to build good network of people who were asset to growth.

He charged them to also invest in career paths adding, “success is intentional”.

Dr. Gabriel Sam Ahinful, the Director of Finance of the TTU said there was no quick way to riches, but one built on discipline, right attitude towards money and investment.

He educated on bonds, treasury bills and other kinds of investment portfolio that could grow their little monies for a brighter future.

Dr. Rosemary Ntiamoah, the Medical Doctor with the University’s Hospital noted how students were reporting regularly with issues of sugar, hypertension and cholesterol and encouraged them to eat properly.
