Nkroful (W/R), June 18, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, has donated 20 sewing machines to the Nkroful Agricultural, Technical and Vocational Senior High School (NASS) to support vocational training.

The donation follows a request by the school’s headmaster made less than a week after Mr Buah commissioned a six-unit ultra-modern classroom block for the school.

Mr Vanda Shaibu, Personal Assistant to the MP, presented the items on his behalf at a brief ceremony attended by management and staff of the Home Economics Department.

Mr Shaibu, who is also an alumnus of the school, said the gesture fulfilled a pledge made by the MP during the commissioning of the classroom facility.

He noted that more support would be extended to the school, including additional sewing machines for the department.

He reiterated Mr Buah’s commitment to promoting technical and vocational education as a key pathway to addressing unemployment and equipping the youth with employable skills.

Mr Joseph Kwaw Blay, Headmaster of NASS, commended the MP for his continuous support, describing him as instrumental in helping the school train skilled manpower for the job market.

He assured that the machines would be put to good use and urged students to justify the gesture by dedicating themselves to their studies and striving for excellence.

Mr Kwaw Blay also appealed for assistance to construct an additional 12-unit classroom block to address infrastructure challenges as the school prepares to transition to a single-track system by September 2026.

Madam Mavis Kwasi, Head of the Home Economics Department, expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely intervention, noting that the machines would significantly enhance practical teaching and learning.
