Techiman (Bono East) Oct. 27, GNA – Mr Peter Akudugu Ayamba, the President of the Ghana Physician’s Assistant Association, says the effective implementation of the government’s Free Primary Healthcare (FPHC) programme will advance quality healthcare delivery in the country.

In that regard, the association remained dedicated to supporting the programme execution for the nation to derive the optimum benefits, and thereby improving useful health outcomes.

Mr Ayamba said this at a free health screening exercise organised by the Association at Techiman in the Bono East Region.

He said the exercise formed part of activities outlined for the 23rd Annual General Conference of the Association, which had positioned itself to frontline the execution of the programme at all levels.

Mr Ayamba indicated that the Association would collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify and tackle challenges that might hinder the implementation of the programme.

Dr Salanatu Attah Nantigna, the Coordinator of the FPHC programme at the Ghana Health Service commended the Association for their commitment towards promoting the programme.

He urged everybody to welcome, embrace and support the implementation of the programme saying that the FPHC remained a key government intervention that would help the nation to improve its health outcomes.

Mr Jona Salifu Panwum, the Bono East Regional Chairman of the Association said the Association would continue to support the government in healthcare delivery and to better the lives of the people.

He said the health screening exercise was also to create awareness and sensitise the masses about the FPHC programme and advised members of the public to be conscious of their diets.
