Sogakope (V/R), March 11, GNA – Mr Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, the Member of Parliament for South Tongu, has held a town hall meeting with community leaders and residents of Alesikpe, to discuss the proposed ECOWAS road project and other development concerns.
The engagement formed part of the MP’s commitment to inclusive governance, transparency, and sustained interaction with constituents on projects that affect their lives and livelihoods.
During the interactive session, residents raised concerns about possible disruptions to properties and economic activities as a result of the road construction.
Mr Lukutor explained the government’s compensation framework for affected persons and encouraged residents whose properties may be impacted, to expedite the documentation process to facilitate the smooth processing of claims.
He assured the community that his office would provide the necessary assistance, particularly to vulnerable residents, to ensure that no one was left out in the compensation process.
The MP also used the opportunity to account for his stewardship over the past year and to listen to additional concerns from residents that required attention.
He further disclosed that the Alesikpe Junior High School block would soon undergo renovation, to improve the learning environment for students in the community.
Mr Lukutor commended the people of Alesikpe for their active participation and constructive contributions during the meeting and reaffirmed his commitment to collaborative development in the constituency.
He expressed optimism that the ECOWAS road project would help stimulate economic activities and improve livelihoods in the area when completed.
