Istanbul (Turkey), Oct. 16, GNA – Mr Bernard Ahiafor, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, has urged members of the Ghanaian delegation attending the 15th World Cooperation Industries (WCI) Forum in Istanbul, Turkey, to forge strategic partnerships and leverage available business opportunities.

Addressing participants at the forum, Mr Ahiafor charged the delegation to ensure that their participation yielded tangible benefits for Ghana by maximising networking opportunities and fostering long-term collaborations with their Turkish counterparts.

“Everyone from Ghana attending this programme in Turkey must take at least one thing back home. Make sure you do not return empty-handed,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of local collaboration, he advised Ghanaian business leaders and entrepreneurs to pool their capital, technical expertise and resources to drive local manufacturing and industrial growth.

He said, “you understand the very reason for which you are here, and that must materialise, so intensify your effort, interact with them and create the enabling environment back in Ghana for them.”

He said teamwork enhanced productivity as it brought together diverse ideas and expertise, adding that nation-building also required collective effort and commitment from all stakeholders.

The WCI Forum serves as a major international platform that brings together African business leaders, investors and manufacturers with their Turkish counterparts to promote trade, investment and economic cooperation.
