Accra, Dec. 29, GNA – Mr. John Ajet-Nasam has donated a motorbike to Rev. Fr. Desmond Adzadu Gilbert, Priest of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chinderi, to support the effective spread of the Gospel and to provide reliable transportation for pastoral and Mass-related duties.

The donation, made at the church premises in Chinderi, is to ease the mobility challenges faced by the priest in attending Mass services, pastoral visits and outreach activities within the parish and surrounding communities.

Presenting the motorbike, Mr. Ajet-Nasam said the gesture was motivated by his desire to support the work of the Church and to help improve access to remote communities where the priest regularly ministers.

He noted that transportation remained a major challenge for many rural parishes, often limiting the frequency of pastoral visits and church activities, adding that the motorbike would help Rev. Fr. Gilbert reach parishioners more efficiently.

Receiving the donation, Rev. Fr. Desmond Adzadu Gilbert expressed profound gratitude to the donor, describing the motorbike as timely and critical to his pastoral work.

“This support will greatly enhance my ability to reach out to parishioners, especially those in distant communities, and to ensure the regular celebration of Mass and other church activities,” he said.

Rev. Fr. Gilbert prayed for God’s blessings upon the donor and encouraged other well-meaning individuals to support the Church’s mission through similar acts of generosity.

Members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chinderi, also expressed appreciation to Mr. Ajet-Nasam, noting that the donation would contribute significantly to the growth of evangelism and effective pastoral care within the parish.

They said the motorbike would not only improve the priest’s mobility but also strengthen the Church’s presence in surrounding communities through more frequent outreach and fellowship.
