Tema, Dec. 03, GNA – Mr Isaac Asiam, the Tema Regional Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has commended the Bright Angels Masqueraders Club for its continuous contribution to the promotion of Ghana’s cultural heritage and local tourism development.

At the official unveiling of the group’s 2025 costume concept, on the theme: “AURA -The Spirit That Speaks Without Words,” Mr Asiam, said the club had over the years distinguished itself as one of the most vibrant creative groups in the Tema region, demonstrating consistency in artistic innovation and community engagement.

He said masquerading was not merely an act of entertainment, but a cultural expression embodying history, identity, and storytelling.

The colourful displays and symbolic costumes, he noted, played a significant role in preserving traditions that connect generations and strengthen community values.

Mr Asiam explained that this year’s theme reflected the silent, yet powerful energy that characterises the spirit of masqueraders.

The concept, he said, highlighted the unity, cultural pride, and creative depth that defined the Bright Angels group.

He expressed confidence that the 2025 presentation would once again demonstrate the excellence and craftsmanship the group had become known for within the creative arts space.

He emphasised the GTA’s commitment to supporting cultural groups and events that enhance domestic tourism and nurture local talent, noting that such initiatives were essential in building vibrant communities and boosting the region’s creative economy.

Mr Asiam congratulated the leadership and members of the Bright Angels Masqueraders Club for their dedication and urged them to continue inspiring young people and promoting cultural heritage through their performances.

He later joined the group to unveil the 2025 costume, expressing hope that the celebration would be memorable and filled with rich cultural expression.
