Beirut/Tel Aviv, Nov 10, (dpa/GNA) – The Israeli military launched a series of airstrikes on Monday, targeting pro-Iranian Hezbollah in southern and eastern Lebanon.

The Israeli army in a new statement said, they eliminated three Hezbollah Terrorists since Sunday.

It said the army “struck and eliminated the terrorist Samir Ali Faqih in the Srifa area in southern Lebanon. ” The terrorist took part in the smuggling of weapons belonging to the Hezbollah across different areas in Lebanon,” the army said.

It added that additionally, on Sunday, the IDF struck and eliminated two Hezbollah terrorists in the Houmin al-Fawqa and the al-Sawana areas in southern Lebanon.

“These terrorists are in addition to the 12 Hezbollah terrorists eliminated since the beginning of the month. Their actions posed a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians, and constituted a violation of the understanding between Israel and Lebanon,” the army said.

The Lebanese health ministry confirmed earlier Monday that one person was killed in southern Lebanon, when an Israeli strike hit his car in south Lebanon.

The state news agency NNA reported various Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon, with loud explosions heard in the targeted areas.

Earler, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it targeted Hezbollah “terrorist infrastructure,” including sites in the Nabatiyeh and Bekaa Valley used for weapons production, storage and rocket launches aimed at Israel.

Since a ceasefire took effect in November 2024, the Lebanese Health Ministry reports there have been nearly 300 deaths. The UN reports that 100 of these deaths were civilians. Hezbollah has not released any figures on its own casualties.

The government in Beirut is under pressure to implement the disarmament of Hezbollah, a process proposed by the US and approved by the Cabinet.
