Spirit of Grace Outreach marks fifth anniversary

Accra, Oct. 6, GNA – The Spirit of Grace Outreach at Apese-Ayikuma, along the Dodowa-Somanya road, has celebrated its fifth anniversary with a call on Christians to recognise and embrace the glory and greatness of God.

The anniversary was celebrated on the theme: “Lift up your heads, O you gates, and be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and let the King of Glory come in.”

It brought together apostles, reverend ministers, evangelists, prophets, church members and visitors from various walks of life.

Pastor Ernest Asiedu Odei, Founder and Leader of the Spirit of Grace Outreach, expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the church over the past five years.

He said although he had opportunities to establish the church in a more populated urban community, he believed God had placed it on his heart to establish it at Apese, a relatively remote community with a small population.

Pastor Odei acknowledged the challenges encountered over the years but attributed the growth and progress of the church to God’s grace and the resilience of its members.

He said the church planned to extend its outreach activities beyond Apese to surrounding villages and towns as part of efforts to spread the Gospel and contribute to the development of the communities.

Pastor Odei recalled how the outreach began while he was schooling in the United States and expressed his commitment to advancing the work of God despite the challenges.

Apostle Jude Hama, President of the Africa Bible Centre for Disciple-making (ABCD), who preached on the topic: “Celebrating the Glory of the Biblical Majestic God,” urged Christians to recognise the power, majesty and glory of God.

He said God alone was the Creator, and all others were His creation, stressing that humanity was created for God’s glory and purpose.

“He alone is the creator and all others are creatures, encouraging the congregation to remain close to God and abandon idol worship,” he said.

Apostle Michael Kwadwo Peprah of Prophetic Hill Church Worldwide led a fundraising session and appealed to the congregation and visitors to support the church’s efforts to deepen its impact in the Apese community.

As part of the celebration, Pastor Odei launched two Christian books he had authored, titled “Exodus: Strategic Repositioning and Realignment” and “The Potter’s Clay.”
