‎Accra, Oct. 6, GNA – The Ghana-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and Inter Tourism Expo, Accra (INTTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen trade, tourism and investment ties between Ghana and New Zealand.

‎The agreement is expected to facilitate business introductions, trade missions and joint programmes to help companies in both countries identify partners and explore new markets.

‎The MoU was signed by Mr Isaac Koumessina, Executive Director of the Ghana-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, and Mr Emmanuel Treku, Chairman of INTTA.

‎The collaboration would begin at the 2026 Inter Tourism Expo Accra, where the Chamber would participate as a strategic institutional partner.

‎Under the agreement, the Chamber would use its networks to identify New Zealand businesses and investors interested in opportunities in Ghana, while INTTA would facilitate connections with Ghanaian businesses, project owners and relevant institutions.

‎The areas of cooperation include tourism and hospitality, agribusiness, the events industry and innovation.

‎Mr Koumessina said the agreement would provide another avenue for the Chamber to connect its members and contacts to relevant business opportunities in Ghana.

‎He said the focus would be on facilitating meaningful introductions and business discussions that could lead to sustainable partnerships.

‎“We see this MoU as a framework for long-term cooperation,” he said.

‎Mr Treku said the partnership would support INTTA’s efforts to bring international businesses and investors into closer contact with Ghanaian enterprises.

‎ “We will support the Chamber with access to relevant Ghanaian tourism, business, investment and institutional stakeholders, while creating platforms for New Zealand investors and businesses to engage with Ghanaian counterparts,” he said.

‎Mr Treku said beyond the 2026 expo, the organisations planned to collaborate on trade missions, investment forums and knowledge exchange programmes.

‎“The collaboration is expected to strengthen business-to-business engagement and create opportunities for companies and investors from both countries to explore partnerships in key sectors of mutual interest.

“As part of the MoU, both institutions are to each appoint a contact person to coordinate activities and follow up on agreed programmes under the partnership,” he said.
