Accra, July 9, GNA – National Investment Bank (NIB) PLC has commissioned a new fleet of 17 vehicles as part of efforts to strengthen its operations and improve service delivery across the country.
The fleet comprises 10 Toyota Corolla Cross vehicles, five Nissan Navara Pickup vehicles, and two Toyota Fortuner 4×4 cross-country vehicles.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony at the bank’s head office in Accra, Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria, Managing Director of NIB PLC, described the acquisition as a significant milestone in the bank’s ongoing transformation agenda.
“Today marks another important milestone in the ongoing transformation of NIB PLC. The commissioning of these 17 new vehicles is more than just an addition of assets to our fleet; it is a visible demonstration of renewed confidence, commitment and determination to provide superior service to our clients,” he said
Dr. Zakaria noted that as the bank continues to rebuild and strengthen its operations, it recognizes that excellence in banking is not defined solely by strong financial performance but also by equipping staff and management with the tools needed to perform their duties efficiently.
He said the vehicles would significantly enhance the mobility of relationship managers, retail banking teams, branch managers and operational managers, enabling them to respond more promptly to customers, improve supervision and expand the bank’s reach nationwide.
Beyond the operational benefits, Dr. Zakaria said the vehicles would also reinforce the bank’s renewed brand identity and project its values wherever they operate.

Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe, a Board Member of the bank and Member of Parliament for Ekumfi Constituency, commended management and staff for their efforts to reposition NIB PLC as a competitive indigenous financial institution.Â
“It is a huge milestone for an indigenous bank, considering the strides being made. I want to thank President John Dramani Mahama for believing in this bank, investing in it and, most importantly, providing transformational leadership through Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria,” he said.
Dr. Kwainoe noted that all stakeholders had contributed significantly to the bank’s current progress and expressed the Board’s excitement about the commitment and enthusiasm being demonstrated to make the institution more competitive.
He, however, urged staff to cultivate a strong maintenance culture to ensure longevity and effective use of the newly acquired vehicles.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the business and operations team, Madam Belinda Boamah, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Business and Operations, assured management that the vehicles would be put to good use to support customer service delivery.
She said the bank would ensure proper maintenance of the fleet while working towards improving profitability and operational performance.
The commissioning forms part of NIB PLC’s broader strategy to modernize its operations and enhance customer experience as the bank pursues sustainable growth and transformation.
