Akatsi (VR), June 17, GNA – St. Paul’s Hospital Limited at Akatsi in the Volta Region has announced the introduction of a 24-hour body collection service every Friday as part of efforts to improve mortuary service delivery and support bereaved families and other stakeholders.

The initiative, which takes effect from July 1 this year, would be operated by the hospital’s Mortuary Department and is expected to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring prompt and convenient access to mortuary services.

A memorandum issued by the hospital’s management and signed by Mr Benedictus Seyram Dagbui, Administrator, said the move formed part of the hospital’s commitment to improving service delivery and responding more effectively to the needs of its stakeholders and the communities it serves.

The memorandum explained that the extended service would provide greater convenience and timely support to bereaved families, funeral homes, and other users of the hospital’s mortuary services.

It noted that the decision was informed by the need to ensure that families and institutions seeking mortuary services could access body collection services without unnecessary delays, particularly during weekends when demand for such services often increases.

Hospital management expressed confidence that the new arrangement would improve client satisfaction and strengthen the hospital’s reputation for responsive, client-centred healthcare services.

The hospital further assured stakeholders of its continued commitment to maintaining high standards in service delivery and called for their cooperation in ensuring the successful implementation of the initiative.

The memorandum encouraged members of the public and stakeholders requiring further information or clarification on the new service arrangement to contact the hospital administration.

St Paul’s Hospital, one of the leading private healthcare facilities in Akatsi, provides a range of medical and mortuary services to residents of the municipality and surrounding communities.
