Dambai (O/R) June 10, GNA- The Abuamang-Acha Ablor Youth Association of Dambai has called on the Governing Council of Dambai College of Education (DACE) to make public the report of a fact-finding committee established to investigate issues relating to the conduct and leadership style of the College Principal, Dr Mrs Benedicta Atiku Awusi.
In a letter dated May 18, 2026, signed and copied to the Ghana News (GNA) by Mr Clement Mensah, chairman of the youth wing and addressed to the Governing Council, the Association expressed concern over what it described as the prolonged delay in communicating the outcome of the committee’s work to stakeholders.
The committee was reportedly constituted in March 2026 to examine matters concerning the administration and leadership of the College.
However, the Association noted that no official update had been provided since its establishment.
The youth group also sought clarification regarding the continued absence of the Principal from office since January 2026, and requested information on the administrative measures put in place to ensure the smooth running of the institution during the period.
According to the Association, transparency on the situation would help address growing public interest and reassure stakeholders of the College’s stability and effective management.
The letter further raised concerns about leadership succession and the tenure of the Principal, urging the Council to provide details on the commencement and duration of the current tenure, as well as any plans for leadership transition.
The Association emphasized the need for the Governing Council to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability and good governance in handling matters affecting the College.
It said the timely release of information on the committee’s findings and related administrative issues would help sustain public confidence in the institution and its governing structures.
Copies of the letter were sent to the Minister for Education, the Director-General of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), the Oti Regional Minister, and the Krachi East Municipal Chief Executive.
