Abesewa, (Ashanti), May 15, GNA-The Church of Pentecost has launched its 2026 Medical Outreach to provide free medical screenings, care consultations, surgeries and health education for community members at Abesewa and surrounding communities in the Ahafo Ano South East Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at the launch of the outreach at Abesewa, Apostle Dr Ebenezer Hagan, the National Youth Director of the Church, said the church the outreach “is a blend of physical restoral and spiritual renewal”
It was on the theme: “Healing Bodies, Saving Souls”.

“The outreach reflects Christ’s holistic ministry of caring for both the body and the heart,” Apostle Dr Hagan stated, adding that, “health is the foundation upon which the prosperity of any community is built.”

He said; “By bringing quality healthcare directly to the doorsteps of Abesewa, we aim to alleviate the burden of disease, provide essential screenings, and offer medical interventions that many may otherwise struggle to access”.

Apostle Dr Hagan added that the outreach was not just merely a service, but a covenant of care for all who felt forgotten, explaining that their partners comprise the Main Line Health, IMAGHE World Foundation, PENSA International, PENTSOS, and the Abesewa Pentecost Hospital.

“When we combine the technical expertise of our partners and PENTSOS with the passion of Youth Ministry and PENSA International volunteers, we create a powerful vehicle for community development,” he stated.

Apostle Dr Hagan urged the community members to take advantage of the services, saying that the success of the mission depended largely on community participation.

He called for a sustained collaboration between local leaders, health professionals, and the church for the outreach to achieve the intended purpose.

Earlier in a welcoming address, Prophet Fred Antwi, Duayaw-Nkwanta Area Head of the Church in the Ahafo Region explained that the outreach reflected the church’s commitment of its vision 2028 of “transforming the world with the values and principles of the Kingdom of God”.

He said IMAGHE World Foundation, coordinating clinical, surgical, and pharmaceutical operations, was expected to deploy about 40 health officials from the United States to Ghana for the outreach.
