Anloga,(V/R), May 27, GNA – The Anlo Queens Council is set to host a major leadership and empowerment seminar aimed at strengthening traditional leadership, youth development, and community transformation within Anlo and the wider Ewe community.
Dubbed “Empowered as One,” the seminar is expected to bring together respected queen mothers, youth leaders, community advocates and development-oriented individuals from within and across the Anloland for a period of dialogue, mentorship, and capacity building.
The theme, “Empowered as One,” reflects the Council’s vision of unity, inclusiveness, and shared responsibility in building stronger and more resilient communities across the Anlo State and beyond.
According to Mama Wotorbe II, the President of the Council, the program is aimed at reloading one of their aims as role models in the Anlo Society.
“The youth seminar particular is set to strengthen our young ones to learn and take on responsibility in our society, we believe this is how we ca make a change as women leaders,” Mama Wotorbe II said.
The Youth Seminar is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Anloga District Assembly Conference Room from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Whiles The Queens Seminar will follow from June 1 to June 2, 2026, also from 10:00am to 4:00pm, at the Beverly View Plus Hotel in Tegbi.
Mama Diawor II, an executive council member, told Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the Queens Seminar seeks to inspire purposeful leadership, unity, and collective responsibility among traditional authorities while promoting collaboration for sustainable community development.
The seminar is being organised under the auspices of The Anlo Dukor Council and is expected to attract participation from Queen Mothers across Eweland, youth groups, civil society actors, and community stakeholders.
The event is proudly sponsored by Rev. Della Quashie, the Chief Executive Officer of Hearts of Ghana Mission, as part of efforts to support empowerment and transformational leadership initiatives within local communities.
One of the major highlights of the program will be presentations and leadership sessions led by distinguished speaker Reverend Dr Charles Leslie, President and CEO of Mission Global Fellowship, together with a dedicated team of leaders committed to empowering lives and transforming communities.
Participants are expected to engage in discussions centered on leadership, mentorship, community service, youth empowerment, cultural identity, and strategies for advancing development through collective action.
The seminar comes at a crucial time when communities are increasingly seeking stronger collaboration between traditional leadership and the youth to address developmental challenges, preserve cultural values, and promote social progress.
The upcoming seminar is anticipated to become one of the significant community-oriented leadership gatherings within the Anlo area this year, while also reaffirming the growing role of traditional institutions in advocacy, empowerment, and social transformation.
The Anlo Queens Council, a conference of all Queen Mothers under the Anlo Dukor Council, has for more than a decade emerged as a strong force in promoting women leadership, traditional governance, cultural preservation, and community development across the Anlo area.
