Winneba (C/R), Sept 09, GNA- Mrs Josephine Jacaboba Amoah, Project Manager of MTN Ghana, has advocated for young and aspiring professionals to remain committed to excellence, continuous learning, and personal growth to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.
She made the call in a speech she delivered at Success Africa Summit, organised by Success Africa Foundation at the University of Education Winneba (UEW).
It brought together students, professionals and industry leaders to discuss personal development, leadership and career advancement in the digital age.
The Success Africa Foundation seeks to empower young Africans through mentorship, leadership training and entrepreneurship conferences with the core purpose and goals as youth empowerment, leadership development and entrepreneurship support.
The Summit is a major annual nationwide mentorship programme hosted across various universities and tertiary Institutions for networking and also creating spaces where young people can interact with industry leaders, corporate executives and public figures.
The Foundation as well offers educational support through outreach programmes and occasional material donation to academic environment.
In the past ten years, its goal has been to bridge the gap between unemployment, vulnerable employment and entrepreneurship by exposing participants to practical life lessons, career tips and knowledge sharing to enable them to break dormancy.
“For over a decade, the foundation have been transforming lives, shaping careers and raising dignified leaders, impacting the lives of youth from all walks of life, for them to leave their mark wherever they find themselves”, Mrs Amoah indicated.
She noted that, achieving career excellence required dedication, sacrifice and the willingness to consistently exceed expectations in every professional engagement, more than just reaching the pinnacle of success, but for continuous learning, growth and self-improvement.
She emphasised that younger professionals seeking to enter the work environment must intentionally invest in growth, strive to overcome challenges and stay committed to making meaningful impact in their respective fields.
Mrs Amoah said it required commitment to high performance, constant personal development and a desire to make a meaningful impact within one’s chosen profession.
“Hence the need for persons desiring to excel in their careers to intentionally position themselves as leaders in their respective fields by striving harder to deliver extraordinary results.”
She further stated that, the rapid growth of technology and digitalisation had transformed the world into a global village, making it necessary for young professionals to think beyond their immediate environment and embrace a global mind-set.
She encouraged the participants and other young professionals not to be discouraged by limitations or setbacks, stressing the importance of prioritising opportunities to learn, grow and adapt to the changing work environment.
She reminded the gathering that, career success is attainable for anyone willing to invest time, energy and sacrifice into personal and professional development saying intentional growth remained key factor in long-term success.
“You must recognise and overcome obstacles while helping to create supportive and inclusive environments that allow others to also thrive, because excellence becomes limitless when people remain determined and growth-oriented,” Mrs Amoah added.
