Hohoe (V/R), April 20, GNA – The Hohoe Tsevi Sub-Division of the Gbi Traditional Area in the Volta Region has outdoored its Queenmother.

Known in private life as Emelia Edem Kugbeadzor, she is enstooled as Mama Akrengbe III.

Mama Akrengbe in a speech said it was a great honour and pride, adding that she would henceforth also be known as “Mama Is Dope.”

She said the name represented a new chapter that embraced strength, cultural pride, influence, and a deeper connection with the people, especially the youth and the creative community.

Mama Akrengbe said while her traditional role and responsibilities remained rooted in the rich customs and heritage, the identity reflected a modern voice committed to unity, empowerment and progress.

She said she remained dedicated to serving the people with wisdom, dignity, and purpose.

Mr. Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), commended the newly enstooled Queen and the entire Sub-Division.

He said the development of every town has hinged in collaboration between stakeholders, especially traditional authorities.

Mr Kumi pledged the Assembly’s support to ensure that development was evenly distributed, adding that some roads within the Sub-Division would be face-lifted.
