Gov’t clears outstanding IPCs to JUSTMOH Construction Ltd after President’s directive

Agona Nkwanta (W/R), Feb. 12, GNA – The JUSTMOH Construction Limited, the contractor working on the 23-kilometre Takoradi-Agona Nkwanta dual carriageway, says the government has paid all Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) for the execution of the project.

This was after President John Dramani Mahama, during an inspection of the project in December last year, directed the Finance Ministry to release about $78 million to the contractor to settle outstanding IPCs for the dualisation of the Takoradi-Agona Nkwanta road.

Mr Johan Prinsloo, Project Manager, JUSTMOH Construction Ltd, who confirmed this to journalists, said the payment would help them to complete the project ahead of schedule.

He said work on the project was progressing steadily, and that they had completed all major earthworks, concrete work, culverts, and bridges among others.

He said: “We have completed all our major earthworks, concrete work, culverts, as well as the four bridges on the entire project corridor.

“Our sub-base and base are also completed for the entire project corridor, and the only work outstanding is three kilometres of road work that we are currently doing at Apowa, Bokoro, Ewusiejoe, and Aboadi.”

Mr Prinsloo noted that they had demolished structures within the right-of-way in those four towns along the road, and that they plan to finish the entire dualisation project by the middle of the year.
