Dambai (O/R), Feb 3, GNA-Dasebre Bonja Kwame Atamafowiese II, the Overlord of Chonke traditional area, has cautioned the current government the alledged construction of iron sheets fence at the proposed Oti Regional Hospital site in Dambai.
Dasebre Atamafowiese, emphasised that the people of Oti Region were watching and would not be deceived again.
He said the regional Hospital, when constructed, it would provide quality healthcare services to residents and reduce the need for long-distance referrals.
Dasebre Atamafowiese, made this remarks during an engagement with the Health Minister, Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, on his working visit in the Oti Region to access healthcare delivery challenges.
According to him, the previous government failed to deliver on its promised to construct the Hospital, despite leasing land for the project.
“They only used iron sheets to fence the area”, he stated, expressing frustration and disappointment with the lack of trust.
In response, Mr Akandoh assured the chiefs and residents in Oti Region that the government was committed to constructing the long-awaited Regional Hospital in Dambai.
He noted that the government, led by President John Dramani Mahama, was ready to deliver on its promise to provide quality healthcare services in the area.
” We have done it before, and we will do it again for the people of Oti Region”, Health Minister added.
