Anfoeta, Jan. 01, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Member of Parliament of Ho West has engaged stakeholders to explain government policies across his constituency.

The interactions, held during the Christmas and New Year festive season, formed part of efforts to strengthen grassroots’ participation and deepen understanding of ongoing government programmes.

Mr Bedzrah said the engagements were necessary to keep constituents informed and involved in governance.

“It is important to continuously share goodwill, strengthen unity and explain policies that affect the lives of our people,” he noted.

He began the season by celebrating with Mama Agbeko IV of Dafor Awudome, where support was extended to the aged through a community health screening exercise.

In addition, Mr Bedzrah donated GH¢5,000 towards the purchase of an aboboya tricycle to convey sick persons to the community clinic free of charge.

The Member of Parliament also met the Council of Paramount Chiefs, and  QueenMothers and later interacted with executives of 146 branches within the constituency to further deepen grassroots engagement.

As part of commitments made during the CEANA Convention, Mr Bedzrah donated 200 bags of cement to support the construction of a library at the Anfoeta Technical Institute.

He said the project was aimed at enhancing teaching and learning outcomes for students.

“Education remains a priority, and improving infrastructure is key to quality delivery,” he stated.

Mr Bedzrah later joined a three-day Agorve Ward Unity Football Gala at Abutia Dzorawode, which he sponsored to promote peace and cohesion.

He donated trophies, jerseys, footballs, medals, and cash prizes to participating teams and announced that high-tension poles had been secured to continue rural electrification in surrounding communities.

According to him, the electrification project would connect beneficiary communities to the national grid to improve livelihoods.

He supported the Ho West District Assembly and staff of key public institutions, including the security services, NHIA, Electoral Commission, Ghana Education Service, Health Directorate, and the Courts, with food items for the festive season.

Mr Bedzrah described the period as “a loaded season full of activities,” and extended Christmas and New Year goodwill messages to constituents.
