Prudential Bank trains merchant partners on POS techniques

       Kumasi Dec. 19 GNA – Prudential Bank Limited (PBL) has initiated a series of specialized training sessions for its merchant partners focused on Point of Sale (POS) transactions. 

One of such training sessions, which engaged over fifty business proprietors, retail outlet managers, and shop attendants in Kumasi, aimed to equip them with the requisite tools to optimize Point of Sale (POS) transactions and adequately navigate associated challenges. 

Additionally, it provided a platform for participants to offer feedback regarding their experiences with Prudential Bank’s POS terminals.‎ 

A Point of Sale (POS) refers to a location and system where a retail transaction is consummated, encompassing the calculation of costs, processing of payments, and issuance of receipts.‎ 

Mr. Ebow Quayson, the Executive Head of Retail and Commercial Banking at the bank, underscored the institution’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the value proposition for its clients’ businesses. 

He noted that the bank was dedicated to empowering its clients by enriching their understanding of POS terminals, thereby facilitating significant relief in their operations.‎ 

The POS terminal transactions, he said, afforded clients convenience and enable them to mobilize funds expeditiously and securely.‎ 

Mr. Quayson urged clients to embrace the digital transformation initiative and actively utilize POS systems to enhance customer satisfaction.‎ 

Mr. Zibrim Mohammed, the Head of Transactions at the bank, emphasized the imperative of security preparedness, particularly as incidents of fraud and cyber-attacks tended to escalate during the holiday season.‎ 

He stressed that the bank was committed to empowering clients to mitigate or eliminate the risks associated with cyber threats, ensuring seamless transactions throughout the Christmas holidays and beyond.‎ 

Participating clients commended the bank for this timely initiative, seizing the opportunity to share invaluable feedback regarding their experiences using Prudential Bank’s POS terminals for their collections.‎
