Sunyani (Bono) Dec.9, GNA-About 500 people have benefited from a health screening exercise in Sunyani, providing them with essential medical check-ups and health education.
The screening, conducted by a team of 30 health professionals, tested the beneficiaries for various health conditions, including blood pressure, blood sugar, Hepatitis B, and body mass index, among others.
The initiative was part of the 2025 MTN SUNCITY FEST, aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and providing access to medical services for residents who may not have easy access to healthcare.
The event, organized by Mr. Ransford Antwi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suncity Group of Companies, also featured health education and medical advice to encourage healthy lifestyles.
Mr.Kofi Owusu, Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regional Manager of MTN, stated that the initiative was part of the company’s efforts to improve community health awareness and reduce undiagnosed illnesses.
Mr. Antwi encouraged the public to take advantage of such initiatives to prioritize their health and well-being.
Some of the beneficiaries of the exercise expressed gratitude for the programme, citing the importance of such outreach activities, especially for low-income individuals.
The MTN Suncity festival concluded with a musical concert featuring popular artists, including Amerado, Kokomo, Abbi Ayizam, aka youngest, blackboi, kwakuHydro and pure Hears Movement.
