Bodi (WN/R), Dec. 22, GNA – Mr Stephen Baidoo, the Bodi District Chief Executive (DCE), says revenue mobilisation efforts have yielded positive results with the Assembly recording significant increases between the second and third quarters of 2025.
He said this when the Assembly held its Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Fourth Assembly, for members to discuss key development issues.
Mr Bodi said the Assembly also made some significant strides in responding to the needs of residents around education, agriculture, water and sanitation.
Touching on plans for next year, the DCE said they would implement some recommendations made at the Executive Committee meeting of the Assembly.
Mr Baidoo said these involved the reshaping of some roads in the district, installation of new and repairing of faulty streetlights, construction of some bridges, provision of motor bikes for the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit of the Assembly, and diversion of some electricity lines in the district.
He said: “As we conclude 2025 and enter 2026, let us remain committed to our development goals and also work together to build a prosperous district.”
Mr Stephen Ofori, the Presiding Member for the Bodi District Assembly, appealed to the members to focus on transparency and accountability as the key factor in serving their communities.
He told the members that 2026 would be a year of development, so they should continue to engage their communities on issues discussed at meetings for them to know what went on at the Assembly level.
