Vibrant Village Foundation holds Annual Grant Partners forum

Walewale (NE/R), Nov 04, GNA – The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF), a grant-making nonprofit organisation has held this year’s edition of its annual Grant Partners Forum at Walewale in the Northeast Region.

The organisation is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, United States of America, with its West Africa Regional Office located in Wa, Upper West Region.

The forum, a three-day event, brought together partner organizations, staff, and stakeholders for learning, collaboration, and strategic reflection.

Alhaji Osman Alhassan, Region Partnerships Director for VVF West Africa, speaking during the closing of the forum, described it as the most successful.

He expressed delight with the level of participation and impactful stories shared by partners as well as their resolve to foster learning and networking amongst themselves.

He gave an assurance that VVF remained committed to fostering joint action and resource mobilization.

He encouraged partners to design and submit collaborative project proposals and to build thematic communities of practice around gender, social protection, financial resilience, and climate-smart agriculture.

He said this would create a sustainable platform for knowledge exchange and capacity development.

Participating organisations included PureTrust Foundation, Songtaba, CALID, Global Brigade, Fifty-Fifty Initiative for Development, Rights Action Ghana, URBANET, Peace for Life Ghana, and Brave Arora.

Each partner made a presentation highlighting their 2025 achievements and key lessons.

A major highlight of the forum was the formation of community practice around themes such as gender and social justice, climate-smart agriculture and community-led learning and collaboration.

Mr. Abdul Rahman Gbana Iddrisu, the Chief Executive Director of Brave Arora, expressed excitement about the forum and said it was his first time participating, adding that hosting it at Walewale where the organisation operated, made it even more special.

He described the discussions as insightful and highlighted the opportunities the event created for collaboration beyond the workshop setting.

Mr. Iddrisu acknowledged VVF’s continued support in fostering learning and capacity strengthening among partner organizations.

Hajia Lamnatu Adamu, the Executive Director of Songtaba, expressed gratitude to VVF for organizing the forum and described it as a rich learning experience.

She noted that the joint action plan developed by the partners and the strategies for collaborative work would help strengthen advocacy and campaign efforts.

She further emphasized that field visits and community-level interactions provided valuable insights and exposure to innovative practices that could benefit right-holder groups.

She commended VVF for creating a platform that enabled meaningful engagement and deeper understanding among partners, describing the three-day forum as highly beneficial for all participating organizations.

Mr. Habib Haruna, the Chief Executive Officer of PureTrust Foundation said: “For PureTrust Foundation, the forum served as a valuable platform for organizational learning and development.”

He said the exchange of ideas and experiences among partner organizations deepened the team’s understanding of effective programme implementation, monitoring, and collaboration.

He said participating in the forum strengthened PureTrust`s partnerships with other grantees adding “The lessons gained are expected to inform PureTrust’s strategic planning and future initiatives for greater impact in the communities it serves.”
