Takoradi, Oct 21, GNA – Residents of Takoradi in the Western Region have commended the management of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and its district officers for their efforts in ensuring power supply reliability.

The residents who spoke with the GNA in an interview also commended the hardwork and dedication of ECG’s staff, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that Ghanaians have access to reliable and consistent electricity.

The ECG had earlier declared that Ghanaians have been expressing gratitude for the consistent power supply.

It noted that this was contrary to the assertion of a looming “dumsor” (power outages) that could plunge the country into darkness.

Mr Frank Owass, a hotelier at the Market Circle, said it was refreshing to witness stable power and commended ECG for their intentional efforts.

He also acknowledged the instrumental role of the media in achieving supply reliability, praising them as a major stakeholder.
