Old-Mframa, (Bono), June 9, GNA – Mr Amos Twene, the Headmaster of the Old-Mframa Municipal Assembly Basic School in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region has appealed for a Kindergarten (KG) block.
He said the school had converted the staff common room into a KG block to accommodate the growing pupil population in the school.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Old-Mframa, Mr Twene said the teachers now sat under tree shades to set and mark questions and other student’s assignments.
He however expressed appreciation to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) for putting up a six-unit classroom block for the school and appealed for the KG block for the pupils.
Mr Twene said: “the situation now is not the best for the teachers” and called on non-governmental and philanthropic organisations as well as wealthy individuals in the area to come to their aid.
He also expressed concern about inadequate desks and other teaching and learning materials.
