Lambussie, (UW/R), June 11, GNA – Mr Naawulle Ireneous Basingbie, the Lambussie District Chief Executive (DCE) for Lambussie has advised pupils writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) not to panic but should inspire for excellent results.
The DCE said the examination was the only opportunity for the BECE students to move to the next level in their education and must face the examination with seriousness.
A total of 843 candidates comprising 399 males and 444 females from 34 Junior High Schools (JHSs) in the district are writing the examination in three designated centres.
The centres included the Piina Senior High School, Lambussie Community Day Senior High School and the Holy Family Senior High School.
Basingbie also cautioned the candidates against all forms of examination malpractices and stay focused on their examination.
“When you’re answering questions focus on what you’ve been taught, what you know and what you can remember,” he said.
He encouraged the students to believe in themselves and stay calm throughout the examination.
Mr Basingbie stated that the district stands firmly behind the success of the candidates and wished them well in their examinations.
The DCE also advised the supervisors and invigilators to desist from putting fear and panic in the candidates and rather create a congenial environment for them to feel free and confidently write their examination.
The DCE was accompanied by some officials from the district Ghana Education Service (GES) and that of NADMO.
