Tamale, May 28, GNA – Hope For Today Foundation, an NGO, has donated 21 school uniforms, packs of exercise books, mathematical sets, rules, erasers, pens, and pencils to the Zogbeli M/A Primary ‘A’ School in Tamale.

The gesture was to help remove some of the barriers that stood in the way of learning amongst students and pupils.

Mr William Osei Bonsu, Representative of Hope For Today Foundation in Tamale, who handed over the items to the authorities of the school, said, “It is our hope that they inspire confidence, boost motivation and remind each of you that you are seen, valued and supported.”

He added that “This act of giving was made possible with the kind assistance of Richard, Donald, Emmanuel and Vivian, individuals, whose generosity and compassion brought this vision to life.”

He commended the teachers for their tireless efforts to build the future of the children, saying, “To the students; may these gifts remind you that your education is a treasure, keep learning, keep striving and never give up.”

Madam Yakubu Sahada Kamara, Headmistress, Zogbeli Block ‘A’ Primary School, who received the items on behalf of the school, said the school faced lots of challenges as teachers sometimes had to provide some learning materials to the students and pupils.

She was happy that the NGO had come to the aid of some of the needy pupils and appealed to the NGO to consider sponsoring some brilliant and needy pupils in the school.

She also appealed for the fixing of the roof of a classroom, which was ripped off following a recent rainstorm.
