Takoradi, May 28, GNA — The Presbyterian Education Unit under the auspices of the Western Presbytery has held a retirement ceremony for the Reverend Stephen Martinson, the Western/Western North Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools.
The ceremony was to honour him for his four years of dedicated service to the Unit.
Rev Joseph Apea Assamoah, the Presbytery Chairperson, in an address commended Rev Martinson for a good work done and executed his duties with dedication, discipline, hard-work and the fear of God.
“We never had a problem with him as the Regional Manager because he was always going through the right channels and procedures before taking any decision as far as education was concerned,” he said.
He urged him to continue transforming lives when given the opportunity to head any organization in his future endeavours.

Rev Martinson expressed appreciation to the Presbytery and the Presbyterian Education Unit, school managements, head teachers, teachers, students, family and friends for their support during his tenure in office.
He said he enjoyed every moment spent with the Unit and hoped that his successor would continue to contribute to the success of the Unit.
He was presented with citations and gifts from various associations within the Unit for his exceptional work done.
Rev Martinson served as a teacher for over 30 years and held the position of Regional Manager for four years.
