Kumasi (Ash), Nov. 02, GNA – The UEW Co-operative Credit Union has opened a new office building for its Kumasi branch to improve service delivery and provide a more convenient banking experience for its growing membership.

The facility, located just outside the campus of the University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (USTED) in Kumasi, provides a spacious banking hall and modern facilities to enhance members’ access to financial services.

The new office is expected to provide a more comfortable environment for members to conduct their financial transactions, following the steady growth in the Union’s membership over the years.

The opening ceremony, attended by management and members of the Union, marked another milestone in its efforts to expand its operations and respond to the changing needs of its members.

As part of activities preceding the inauguration, the Union organised an open forum to provide members with an opportunity to raise concerns, seek clarification on operational issues and receive feedback from management.

Mrs Christiana Kilson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Union, briefed members on the operations of the Union and responded to questions and concerns raised during the engagement.

The forum also provided an opportunity for management to interact directly with members, strengthen communication and address issues relating to the delivery of financial services.

Mr Charles A. Coffie, the Board Chairman of the Union, said the new office building demonstrated management’s commitment to providing convenient and efficient financial services to its members.

He said the increasing number of members had outgrown the existing office space on the university campus, making it necessary for the Union to secure a larger facility to improve service delivery.

Mr Coffie said the new office would provide a more spacious and comfortable environment for members, while enabling staff to meet their needs more efficiently.

He said the relocation was part of efforts to strengthen its operations and ensure that members continued to receive quality services.

The Board Chairman, however, assured members that the existing office on the university campus would remain open for business.

He said the decision to maintain the old office alongside the new facility would provide members with options and ensure that those who preferred the campus location could continue to access services there.

Mr Coffie said the Union remained committed to addressing the financial needs of its members and creating an enabling environment for them to access its services conveniently.
