Egyam (W/R), Sept. 14, GNA — In a gesture of Christian compassion, the Children’s Ministry of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Takoradi, has donated assorted food items, household supplies, and cash to the Egyam Children’s Home.
The items presented included a maxi bag of flour, sugar, two bags of rice, eight cartons of frozen chicken, tomato pastes, packs of tombrown, and a basket of onions.
To support the facility’s daily operations, the ministry also provided a cooking blender, 10 five-litre gallons of liquid soap, GHC1,000 cash, and some used clothing and textbooks.
The presentation was led by Pastor Selasi Amedeka, Resident Minister for PIWC Takoradi, who offered prayers for the children and encouraged them to remain hopeful.
Mrs Mercy Nunoo, the Children’s Ministry Leader, noted that the donation formed part of activities marking the National Children’s Ministry Week Celebration.
She stated that the gesture sought to extend Christ’s love and compassion to vulnerable children in society.
Ms Mary Gladys, who received the items on behalf of the facility, expressed deep gratitude to the Children’s Ministry of PIWC Takoradi for the intervention, and said the support was timely and came as a major relief for the Home.
