Accra, Oct. 5, GNA – An Adentan Circuit Court has granted GHC100,000 bail to Salomey Awiti Bafoh, a nurse accused of abetting a United Kingdom-based TikToker, known as “Ghana Jollof,” to publish false news.

Salomey pleaded not guilty to the charge of abetment to the publication of false news when she appeared before the court.

The prosecution alleges that she abetted the publication of statements seeking to overthrow the Government.

The accused is required to justify the bail with two sureties, who must be public servants earning not less than GHC3,000 a month.

The court also ordered Salomey to report to the Hensua Police Station every two weeks.

At the hearing, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, counsel for Salomey, told the court that his client had been remanded at the previous sitting to reappear before the court.

He said Salomey had been in custody for three weeks.

Dr Justice Srem-Sai, Deputy Attorney-General, did not oppose the application for bail.

The case has been adjourned to February 17, 2027.
