Luhuor, Sept. 25, GNA – Mr Charles Ayawuli, owner of ‘I Love My Wife Enterprise’, has donated 1,600 exercise books to selected public schools in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region and South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The beneficiary schools were Luhuor D/A Basic School and Agbadzakorpe D/A Basic School in the South Tongu District.
The donation saw pupils of the two schools receive exercise books branded with the name of his establishment.
Mr Ayawuli, while presenting the books, said having once been a student, he understood the difficulties some parents faced in providing essential learning materials for their children, particularly exercise books.
He encouraged the pupils to take their education seriously, saying education was essential for children to achieve their aspirations and become whatever they wished to be in the future.
“Nobody stays at home, wakes up one morning and tells his or her parents that they want to be a doctor. You need an intensive education and proper moral life living,” he said.
Mr Ayawuli urged the pupils to develop good attitudes towards their education and aspire to become responsible leaders who would contribute meaningfully to their communities.
He said students should remain determined despite challenges and conduct themselves in ways that would attract support from individuals and organisations interested in their education.
Mr Lucas Ocansey, Headteacher of Agbadzakorpe D/A Basic School, expressed appreciation for the donation, saying the exercise books would help pupils who lacked adequate writing materials.
He said the school would guide the pupils to take proper care of the books to ensure that they lasted longer.
Mr Felix Titiati, Teacher and Sports Coordinator of Agbadzakorpe D/A Basic School, also urged the pupils to study hard and grow into responsible individuals who could become useful members and “the eye” of their communities.
He appealed to community members who had travelled outside the area and those who were financially capable of returning and supporting the development of schools and communities.
