Penyi (V/R), Sept. 25, GNA – Ms. Jackson Vera Adzo, Mama Nugoryiza 2025 of Penyi, has donated more than 1,000 exercise books and other educational materials to four basic schools in Penyi to support teaching and learning.
The initiative, dubbed “Pages of Possibilities” and themed “Empowering Minds One Book at a Time, Every Page a Possibility,” benefited A.M.E. Zion School A and B and Anglican Basic School A and B.
The initiative seeks to provide pupils with essential learning materials while encouraging them to believe in themselves, pursue their aspirations, and contribute positively to their communities.
Addressing the pupils, Mama Nugoryiza 2025 urged them not to allow their present circumstances to determine their future.
She encouraged them to make good use of the exercise books by recording their lessons, ideas and aspirations, reminding them that every achievement begins with the willingness to learn and persevere.
“These exercise books are more than just books. They are pages waiting for your ideas, your lessons, your dreams, and perhaps one day, the story of how far you have come,” she said.
She also encouraged the pupils to ask questions, learn from their mistakes and remain confident when confronted with challenges.
The teachers and pupils expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the donation as timely and useful in supporting their educational activities.
Some pupils also expressed their desire to return to their schools in the future to support other children and contribute to the development of their communities.
The project team said the response reflected the broader objective of the Pages of Possibilities initiative, which was to provide immediate educational support while promoting a culture of service and giving.
“Today, we gave them books to write in. Tomorrow, we hope they will use those same pages to write stories of success and one day become the people who give others the opportunity to dream,” the team said.
The initiative is intended to create a cycle in which beneficiaries of today become mentors, philanthropists, and community supporters in the future.
Mama Nugoryiza 2025 expressed the hope that the pages filled by the pupils with lessons, ideas and dreams would eventually become part of their success stories and inspire others to pursue their aspirations.
