Atebubu (Bono East), Aug. 10, GNA – The Ohempon-Yere Foundation, a charity organisation has donated clothing and bags of rice to the aged, widows and some vulnerable people at Atebubu in the Bono East Region.
The foundation also presented undisclosed sums of money for the upkeep of the beneficiary widows and the aged.
At a ceremony at Atebubu, Maame Yaa Yeboah Asiamah, the Founder of the foundation, said the organisation remained committed to supporting and empowering the vulnerable in society to live meaningful lives.
Maame Asiamah, also the wife of Ohempon Dr Yeboah Asiamah, the Paramount Chief of Atebubu Traditional Area, said it had always been her vision to support the poor and vulnerable in society.
She expressed appreciation to the foundation’s partners, both home and abroad, and called on all wealthy citizens of Atebubu, to contribute to the development of the area.
Ohempon Dr Asiamah also expressed appreciation to the people for their support and cooperation as he marked the fourth anniversary of his enstoolment in 2026.
He pledged his continuous commitment towards improving the living conditions of the less privileged and vulnerable people in the area and thanked his wife for the gesture.
Madam Juliana Agyapong, one of the beneficiaries, also thanked the foundation for the support and prayed for more of that assistance.
