Accra, Oct. 8, GNA – Sarah Adwoa Safo, a lawyer and former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, has acknowledged and accepted her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church.
She made the acknowledgement in a Facebook post on Thursday, October 8, saying she had “immense love and respect” for her brother and was prepared to work with him in honouring their father’s wishes and advancing his vision and legacy.
“He has my full support, and I state unequivocally that I am prepared and willing to work together with him in the interest of the family and the Church, in furtherance of our father’s Vision and Legacy,” she said.
Madam Safo said their father’s legacy transcended any one individual, describing it as “a collective inheritance and profound responsibility” entrusted to his children.
“We must, therefore, rise above our differences, preserve what he built and ensure that his ideals continue to inspire generations to come,” she said.
She urged members of the Kristo Asafo Church, the wider Kantanka family and all those associated with their father’s work to acknowledge and respect the unity of the family.
“Let us embrace this new chapter with reconciliation, fraternity and a shared sense of purpose,” she said.
Madam Safo extended her goodwill and best wishes to Israel Kwadwo Safo and her other siblings on “this renewed journey of peace and forgiveness.”
“May this new chapter bring healing, unity, and renewed strength as we come together to honour and advance the legacy of our beloved father.”
