Accra, Aug 24, GNA – Mr Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader in Parliament, has filed a defamation suit against Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), over statements he describes as false and defamatory.
He made the announcement of the legal action on the Floor of Parliament on Monday.
Parliament reconvened on Monday, August 24, 2026, for an emergency Sitting following the request of President John Dramani Mahama.
