Accra, July 30, GNA – Jehovah’s Witnesses are holding a three-day program, themed “Eternal Happiness”, that reveals how to cultivate real happiness.
The convention comes at a time when happiness eludes many.
A special session under the same theme will be held exclusively for the hearing impaired and tactile communities from the Southern and Eastern parts of Ghana, at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Ga Mashie Hall, from July 31 to August 2, 2026, with an expected attendance of about 1200.
Mr Nathaniel Ofei, the Regional Spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on the convention and its theme, asked: “Who doesn’t want to be happy?”
He said: “This year’s convention theme discusses how to be happy and how to remain happy. All in attendance will discover the real joy that comes from a solid hope for the future.”
Mr Ofei announced that From August 7 to 9, 2026, a Twi session at the Accra Sports Stadium would be held with an expected audience of about 20,000.
From August 21 to 23, 2026, an English session of the convention will be held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium with an audience of 10,000 expected to attend.
The three-day program will explore how everlasting happiness can be achieved through spirituality founded on practical Bible principles.
The programme on Saturday includes a baptism.
Along with Bible-based videos and interviews, the “Eternal Happiness” convention will present intriguing discourses with topics such as: Abundant Happiness Forever — Is It Realistic? Why Are You Anxious? Have You Discovered the Treasure?
The much-anticipated Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of “The Good News According to Jesus” will debut on consecutive days of the convention.
The 18-episode video series depict the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and is based solely on the Gospel accounts.
Episode 1 was released during the 2024 conventions and Episodes 2 and 3 in 2025.
Last year, Jehovah’s Witnesses hosted over 6,000 conventions in over 500 languages with the theme “Pure Worship.” This included 19 international conventions held in 13 countries.
Over 12 million people attended.

He assured the public that “no collections are ever taken” at Witness conventions.
