Atebubu, (Bono East), August 5, GNA-The Reverend Sister Regina Zangiti, the Headmistress of Jesus Mary Joseph School at Atebubu in the Bono East Region, has advised school children to respect and obey the elderly in society.
As the school ends the 2025/2026 academic calendar, Sister Zangiti advised the school children to stay in homes and concentrate on their books.
The Headmistress gave the advice when she addressed the learners of the school at mass, at Atebubu, to mark the end of the academic year by the school.
Rev Sister Zangiti entreated the school children to remain submissive and shun bad peers who could influence them negatively.
“Endeavour to read your bibles and apply the biblical principles in your daily lives”, she advised the school children.
The event, which featured poetry recitals, drama and choreography performances saw the swearing-in of the new school prefects for the next academic year.
Some of the deserving learners were given awards.
Established in 1997, the school is an educational and mission community being operated by the Atebubu Parish of the St Patrick Catholic Church.
The Rev Sister Zangiti stressed the school’s dedication to promote academic excellence and inculcate a high sense of discipline, social justice, responsibility and compassion in the learners.
“We formulate children to integrate moral, social and spiritual values for the building of a self-reliant community,” she said.
