Dzodze (V/R), Aug. 25, GNA ā The Reverend Martin Amenaki, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ketu North, has led the Volta Regional Political Coordinator at the Presidency, Mr Ben-Habib Sikiru Abibu, on an inspection tour of ongoing and completed government development projects in the municipality.
The inspection, which included engineers from the Ketu North Municipal Assembly and members of the Volta Regional Task Force, formed part of efforts to assess progress on key education, health, market and road infrastructure projects and ensure their timely completion for the benefit of residents.
The team began the tour at Law Memorial, where it inspected an almost completed 12-unit classroom block and ancillary toilet facility.
The project is expected to be completed and handed over during the first week of the reopening of schools.
At Kutsinu, the delegation inspected an ongoing Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound and nurses’ quarters project.
While the main structure has been completed, roofing works are yet to commence.
The team later proceeded to Tsiyinu, where it inspected a completed GETFund six-unit classroom block and a maternity block awaiting the construction of nurses’ quarters before full operationalisation.
At Afife Senior High School, the delegation inspected ongoing GETFund-funded projects, including boys’ and girls’ dormitory blocks as well as an administration block.
The inspection tour also took the team to Adzoati, where an ongoing CHPS compound and nurses’ quarters project was assessed, and to Dzodze-Fiagbedu, where a completed Kindergarten block was inspected.
The delegation concluded the inspection of infrastructure projects at the site earmarked for the proposed 24-hour economy market.
The team also inspected ongoing reshaping works on the Tadzi-Ahiagbakope-Kuli-Ehi Road.
The road serves farmers, traders, students and residents in Tadzi and adjoining communities, and its completion is expected to improve mobility, facilitate the transportation of farm produce and enhance access to essential services.
Speaking after the tour, Mr Abibu expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the various projects and encouraged all stakeholders to ensure their timely completion.
Rev Amenaki assured residents that President John Dramani Mahama and the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Mr Eric Edem Agbana, remained committed to ensuring the completion of development projects across the municipality.
He said the Assembly would continue to monitor the projects and collaborate with relevant government institutions to accelerate development and improve access to quality education, healthcare, markets and road infrastructure.
āWe are encouraged by the progress made so far. We will get there, and very soon, Ketu North will be a place you will always be proud to call home,ā Rev Amenaki said.
He added that the Assembly would continue to work closely with the Presidency and relevant agencies to ensure the provision of improved road infrastructure throughout the municipality.
