Kumasi July 24, GNA – Mr Abubakar Abdul Razak, Ashanti Regional NPP Nasara organiser hopeful, has stated that, his focus for the NPP ahead of the 2028 election is grassroots mobilisation in all sectors, particularly in areas where political engagement is often limited.
According to him, it was time for the party to strengthen the Nasara wing within the Zongo and Muslim communities in order to maximize votes for the party.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Kumasi, Mr Razak explained that “effective mobilization goes beyond meetings and campaign rallies, it involves a consistent presence, listening to concerns, and ensuring community members feel included in party activities.”
He said one of his plans if given the mandate would be to provide tools and resources to local Nasara coordinators in the Ashanti region to effectively enhance their work.
He mentioned that such support could include printed outreach materials, communication gadgets where necessary, and structured schedules to help coordinators organize door-to-door engagement and community sensitization.
He noted that bridging gaps within the regional wing to create a cohesive front would be one of his core mandates to ensure inclusivity and unity.
In his view, when coordinators, youth groups, women’s leadership, and traditional community structures work together in a clear direction, the party becomes more organized and responsive to emerging issues.
Mr Razak emphasized that, strategic leadership was very necessary in positioning the regional wing as a decisive factor in upcoming party elections, and he was not going to relent on his efforts to ensure its effectiveness.
He added that his leadership style would also involve regular assessment of activities across districts, encouraging feedback from constituencies, and timely problem-solving to avoid disunity.
He therefore, urged delegates to make decisive vote by voting for him to become the next Nasara organiser in the Ashanti region, stressing that, with committed leadership and stronger grassroots structures, the Nasara wing could contribute significantly to party victory.
