Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), July 08, GNA – The Amansie West District Assembly has presented a brand-new pickup vehicle to the Manso Nkwanta District Police Command to enhance security operations and improve policing across the district.
Mr Prince Manu Morris, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West, speaking at the ceremony at Manso-Nkwanta, said the gesture formed part of the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the Ghana Police Service with the logistics required to maintain law and order, while ensuring the safety of residents.
He noted that effective policing depended not only on the dedication of security personnel but also on the availability of adequate operational resources.
Mr Manu Morris expressed confidence that the new vehicle would strengthen the operational capacity of the Manso Nkwanta District Police Command, enabling officers to respond more swiftly to emergencies, intensify patrols, and combat crime more effectively throughout the district.
The DCE commended the leadership of the Ghana Police Service, particularly the Inspector-General of Police and the Ashanti South Regional Police Command, for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Amansie West.
According to him, the district had witnessed a remarkable improvement in security, with no robbery cases recorded over the past year.
He attributed the achievement to the professionalism, vigilance, and dedication of the police, as well as the strong collaboration between the security agencies and members of the public.
Mr Manu Morris further appealed to chiefs, opinion leaders, and residents to remain united and continue supporting the security services by volunteering credible information that would help sustain the peace currently being enjoyed in the district.
He also urged residents to put aside partisan political differences and work together to champion the development agenda of Mansoman.
He said:”Now that the elections are over, our collective focus should be on the development of Amansie West.
“We must speak with one voice to attract more development projects to our district.”
The DCE further called on residents to support and pray for him as he works to fulfil his commitment to rehabilitate the deplorable road network in the area, describing improved roads as critical to the district’s socio-economic growth.
Chief Superintendent Martin Innigan, Manso Nkwanta Divisional Police Commander, who received the vehicle on behalf of the Command, expressed profound gratitude to the Amansie West District Assembly for the timely intervention.
He assured the Assembly and residents that the vehicle would be used efficiently to strengthen security operations, enhance rapid response to crime, and maintain peace and order throughout the district.
