BNI Ghana Givers Chapter-Tema holds maiden networking meeting

Accra, June 8, GNA – The newly established Business Network International (BNI) Ghana, Givers Chapter in Tema, has held its maiden in-person breakfast business meeting aimed at fostering collaboration, business growth and professional networking among entrepreneurs and business leaders.

The meeting, held in Tema on the theme: “Connect, Collaborate and Grow,” brought together business owners, professionals, entrepreneurs and prospective members from various sectors to explore opportunities for partnerships and referrals.

Mr Bridge Adams Eshun, National Director of BNI Ghana, said the organisation operated on a referral-based model designed to help members generate business opportunities through structured networking and relationship-building.

He explained that BNI’s philosophy of “Givers Gain” encouraged members to support one another through trusted referrals and strategic collaborations.

“BNI is all about referrals. Members actively refer business opportunities to one another based on their fields of expertise. One of the greatest strengths of BNI is its proven system and structure. The moment you join a chapter, you gain access to tools, resources and a global network designed to help your business grow,” he said.

Mr Eshun noted that although business referrals remained the organisation’s core focus, its activities were intentionally structured to help entrepreneurs build credible and sustainable businesses.

He said in Ghana, BNI was supporting business owners to establish compliance systems and operational structures that enhanced professionalism, credibility and long-term growth.

According to him, members also benefitted from BNI Connect, the organisation’s global networking platform, which provided access to business opportunities and partnerships beyond local markets.

“Through our international network, businesses across the world are looking to collaborate, partner and connect with BNI members. You become part of an established global community that opens doors you may never have imagined,” he added.

As part of the programme, members and visitors introduced their businesses and shared information on the services they offered, creating opportunities for collaboration and networking.

The gathering also featured a strategic session during which members developed the chapter’s core values, guidelines and operational regulations.

The session was facilitated by Mr Eric Ekow Nyarko Acquah, Chief Executive Officer of AELOPACQ Africa Limited, who encouraged members to actively contribute ideas towards shaping the chapter’s culture and future direction.

A highlight of the meeting was a testimony by Mr Michael Afari, Chief Executive Officer of Mike’s Innovations, who recounted how a referral from the National Director had led to a successful and profitable business engagement.

He urged prospective members to take advantage of the opportunities offered by BNI and become part of a network committed to supporting business growth and development.

Members also shared experiences on how structured referrals, mentorship, accountability and strategic networking within BNI had contributed to the growth of their businesses.

The maiden meeting marked a significant milestone for the Tema Chapter and underscored BNI Ghana’s commitment to helping entrepreneurs and professionals connect, collaborate and grow through purposeful networking.

The chapter aims to position itself as a hub for business excellence, quality referrals and sustainable growth within the Tema business community and beyond.
